GRAN FONDO ASHEVILLE SOCIAL RIDE

A fun social ride gathering to get to know your fellow Gran Fondo Asheville and Gran Fondo National Championship riders. We'll start at Chainheart Cycling Studio (4 Foundy St #20, Asheville, NC 28801) in the hip River Arts District at 10a.m. and ride a conversational (no more than 3w/kg on hills) pace 25 miles along the rolling hills in Asheville's West Side. Get there early to grab a Coffee from Summit Coffee Company next door.

The 2021 Gran Fondo Asheville will include the 2021 USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championship. Athletes must qualify for a starting position, and will start in their own wave. Details here.

ABOUT THE COURSE
Experience Asheville, North Carolina, one of Lonely Planet’s top U.S. travel destinations. Your ride begins in downtown Asheville at Twisted Laurel, rolls out of downtown, and quickly moves along well-marked winding roads out into pastoral countryside and up to mountain ridge vistas. At the end of the ride, you’ll enjoy a thrilling descent from the Blue Ridge Parkway into the heart of town.
